Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Pipefitters for projects located in or around Newport News, VA.
This is a first shift opportunity
plus $140/per diem to Travelers 75+ miles from the Jobsite.

Job Scope:
- Remove, repair, target, lay out, fabricate, install, and test marine piping systems onboard ships in various stages of repair and modernization
- Install various types and sizes of pipes, supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders according to specifications
- Plan installations and repairs to avoid obstructions and interference with other trades
- Repair and replace shipboard piping systems including auxiliary salt water, fire main, potable water, hydraulic, compressed air, fuel oil, lube oil, and engine exhaust systems
- Use shop equipment including table saws, pipe threading machines, bending machines, drill presses, and brazing equipment
- Bend, cut, thread, shape, fabricate, and install pipe according to job specifications
- Conduct pressure testing of piping installations
- Check and adjust controls, gauges, and valves to achieve proper flow and pressure
Requirements
- Requirements:
- Three or more years of experience as a Marine, Commercial Nuclear, or Petro/Chem First Class Pipefitter
- Experience with pipe fabrication, installation, repair, and testing
- Ability to read and work from specifications and drawings
- Experience using pipe threading machines, bending machines, drill presses, and brazing equipment
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass a hair follicle drug test
