Fiber Technicians Needed ASAP! $35/hr + $110 PD all 7 days, Mon-Sat 60hrs/week, New Albany, OH!

Trillium Construction is seeking Fiber Technicians near New Albany, OH.

Scope of work

• Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cabling (SM/MM) and structured cabling systems
• Perform fiber testing using OTDR, OLTS, power meters, and visual fault locators
• Interpret test results and verify compliance with client and industry standards
• Troubleshoot fiber faults, signal loss, and connectivity issues
• Install and maintain patch panels, fiber enclosures, and distribution frames
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and fiber splice diagrams
• Perform fusion splicing and mechanical splicing (where applicable)
• Complete test documentation, as-builts, and closeout packages
• Coordinate with other trades and data center operations teams
• Ensure work meets QA/QC standards and customer specifications

Schedule: Mon - Sat, 60h / week

• 2+ years of experience in commercial low voltage
• OSHA 10/30
• FOA CFOT + CFOS/T (Testing) or CFOS/S (Splicing)
• ETA FOT-OSP or FOT-ISP
• BICSI Technician (TECH) or BICSI Installer 2 (INST2)
• Fusion Splicing Certification (manufacturer or FOA/ETA)
• Advanced Fiber Testing Credentials (OTDR trace analysis)
• NICET Level II-III (ITS or Low Voltage)
• Fluke Advanced Fiber Certification
• Tools of the trade
• Able to pass pre-employment screenings
