Marine Painter

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Painters for projects located in or around Somerset, MA. This is a first shift opportunity

Job Scope:

• Paint construction vessels and perform vessel repair work
• Apply coatings using airless and conventional painting methods
• Perform surface preparation including sanding, grinding, masking, and priming
• Operate shop tools including sanders, grinders, brushes, and rollers
• Mask off vessel sections prior to painting and coating applications
• Apply finishes to marine structures and equipment
• Maintain quality workmanship while adhering to all safety standards

• Requirements:
• Previous marine, shipyard, industrial, or commercial painting experience required
• Experience with airless and conventional spray equipment
• Proficiency with surface preparation, sanding, grinding, masking, priming, and coating applications
• Ability to work independently and maintain quality standards
• Must be fit for duty with no work restrictions
• Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced marine environment
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
• Ability to lift and carry tools and materials
• Ability to bend, kneel, squat, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive hand and tool movements
• Capable of working outdoors and around industrial equipment, noise, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures
