Journeyman Conveyor Electrician - FedEx Conveyor Installation Project

Project Scope

We are seeking two experienced Journeyman Conveyor Electricians for a conveyor installation project at the FedEx facility in Las Vegas, NV. This is a straightforward, production-driven conveyor installation consisting primarily of rigid conduit installation, wire pulls, and electrical terminations.

Candidates must be comfortable working in an industrial construction environment and capable of maintaining productivity while working extended schedules. Previous conveyor installation experience is highly preferred, particularly within FedEx, UPS, Amazon, or other automated material handling facilities.

This project is ideal for electricians who are proficient with rigid conduit work and have hands-on experience installing and wiring conveyor systems from rough-in through completion.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Install rigid conduit in accordance with project specifications and electrical drawings
  • Measure, cut, bend, and secure rigid conduit throughout conveyor systems
  • Perform wire pulls for power, controls, and conveyor components
  • Install and terminate electrical wiring for motors, sensors, control panels, and conveyor equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and installation drawings
  • Assist with conveyor electrical installation and integration
  • Perform quality checks on completed installations and terminations
  • Operate aerial lifts safely while performing overhead work
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all site safety requirements
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow crew members to ensure project milestones are met

Requirements

  • Journeyman-level electrical experience required
  • Conveyor installation experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency running rigid conduit is required
  • Experience performing wire pulls and electrical terminations in industrial or commercial environments
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and schematics
  • Experience working in distribution centers, material handling facilities, or conveyor environments is a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • OSHA 10 Certification required
  • Lift Certification required
  • Must be comfortable working from aerial lifts and elevated work platforms
  • Ability to work overtime and commit to the full project duration
  • Must have basic electrical hand tools and appropriate PPE
  • Fall protection equipment will be provided on site
